ASSORTED REMODEL PHOTOS
Summer 2000 - the more memorable images

From late May 2000 into September (I hope) 2001, Sara and I relocated out of our little Turnagain hovel and moved in with friends while the Brooke Drive residence underwent the second of two remodel phases.  It was a long summer but the short-term pain justified the long-term gain!  Here are some of the more notable photographs from this epic era!

Standing at the rear border of our lot and looking back at the back of the original structure.  One of the stumps is remaining from our tree-burning weekend back in March.  It is about where the back edge of the new addition will be.

The old "galley" kitchen - soon to be gone along with the rest of the interior!  Our new kitchen will be wide open and the cooking area will be flipped from the front of the house to the rear.

These basement stairs, at the south side of the "old" house, will be relocated to the center of the structure.

Front view.  The concrete porch and steps will go to make way for a new arctic entry.  Instead of walking into the house from the left as shown above, the new entry will head directly into the house, if you can envision what I mean.
