| It is not known if Frederick
& Frances Dean
were Quakers
when they arrived in America in approximately 1760,
settling in what became Guilford
County in 1771. What we do know is
that several of their children were Quakers, and they and
some of their descendants are buried in Quaker
Cemeteries. According to cousin
John Rhodes,
the early Dean
family was affiliated with the Reedy
Fork |
