Checking on my Wifes Family history.Doris Dean, Grandaughter of Ottie Dean of Saxapahaw, N.C. Nice site: I can see a lot of effort and love went into it.Well done! Our Address: Doris Dean Pardue At: mpardue@frontiernet.net Rt.1 Box 130 Repton, Ala. 35475.
I enjoyed visiting your well done page. I am trying to trace my direct line through my great-grandfather, Jimmy Dean of Vashti, Texas who died in the early 1900s. He was an orphan and died relatively young; the family doesn't know any details about his parents. The family tradition is that we are Scots-Irish. - Cleon E. Dean cedean@gsvms2.cc.GaSoU.edu
great page, I'd like to share code, if possible. . . : ) Reed
I had no idea that Alaska had such beauty. Lovely flowers! Would like to use images for the screen background on my Windows 95 interface at work (I only have 3.11 at home). Would that be okay?
This is a return message for the individual whose message to me is dated 5/24/99, time: 10:43 pm. "Yes, you may use the image/s for your screen background at work. I'm happy you like them and had such kind words. All I ask is that if there are inquiries, you direct them to my website where the credits are given for the images." Anita, Blue Ice Arts & Graphics
Hey Anita ~
What can I say? You do great work and everyone knows it. When are you going to do a class? Yes - I know you're busy - but you could do it from mid-night to 1 a.m. Ha-ha-ha I'm so funny. See you later.

Hi Anita, I loved the flower shots of Anchorage. My wife & I were there in July '97. We did a two week tour. I had forgotten those lovely flowers all over Anchorage. Thanks for bringing Anchorage back to me. Alaska is a lovely place in the summer. Not sure i'd wanna be there for winter, hehehe... Totally awesome site, great work Hugh & Anita... michael_denali@hotmail.com
Beautiful, especially your artwork! It's wonderful and makes the internet so much warmer! Not that cold cyberspace look at all! Thanks for such a delightful spot!

You have done a great job "cuzz".Alvin D Dean,gggggg/grandson of Shadrick & Mourning Dean. addean@roman.net
I think your website is nice, especially since you are just starting out. I am searching for Deans that came from Germany and settled, eventually in Alabama and Florida. The information I have is: A.T. Dean from Germany, son Francis Marion Dean, son Samuel Thomas Dean, son Grady Coston Dean (1902-1985). I have dates for the others before Grady but I don't have the information with me and I can't remember it. Grady was my grandfather. Deanna Payne dpayne1998@hotmail.com
Your web page is outstanding! Denise neecybear@home.com
Your website is not only well researched and full of information, it is a true visual delight! I would like to thank the Dean researchers for all the help with my Pegram family descendants through the Dean family.

Nice, attractive website. I have some early Ohio Dean narrative at http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~deanr/mudsock.htm
My wife's mother was a Kentucky Dean. Cannot trace her Dean ancestors beyond Battle of Cowpens in NC. The unnamed ancestsor was among the many unnamed dead that fought there. Do you know of any NC Dean genealogists that might have some ancestors killed there?
Richard Dean Athens, OH
I'm a professional genealogist and tho I don't have anyone named DEAN in my family line or research experience, I recognize an enthusiastic family historian when I see one! And to top it off--someone who shares my love for flowers and photography. We've just returned from an Alaska cruise and land trip; regretfully, our time in Anchorage was too brief. So thanks for this beautiful visit. Beverly Whitaker [genealogytutor@swbell.net]
Wonderful site. Glad to see it. I have just discovered that I have Dean ancestors and have researching for over 30+ years. My Dean is a SC Dean and I could not find them. She is Sarah *Sallie* Lucy b. 1812 SC probably Greenville/Pendleton SC and m. William A. Neese b. 1817 and lived in Hart Co., Ga where he was Sheriff. He died in office in 1865 during the measle epidemic. Thank you. euzelia@aol.com

I am a Dean descendant of Laura Pauline Dean, my great grandmother, of Butler County, AL. She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Dean and his wife, Mary Ann Burns. Thomas Jefferson Dean was supposedly born in North Carolina in 1806. I don't know if I'm connected to your Deans or not. Jennifer Phelps JenniferP@adeca.state.al.us

I was just surfing....
My name is Tristan and I'm from The Netherlands.

This is a lovely site! I am so happy to have found it although I am not sure of the connections between my family and yours yet. My grandfather, "George" Dean (William George Washington Dean) looked just like the fellow in the lower right hand corner of the photo supposedly showing Solomon Dean and his 5 sons.

Hello. We are Page and Romina Loten of Victoria, British Columbia. Like you, we are always on the lookout for geneological information. While surfing, we came upon your extensive and interesting site. We are fascinated with a possible connection to your grandfather, Charles Loten Dean and his mother, Addie L. (presumably "Loten"? Glascoe. The Loten clan is very large in Canada (particularly in Ontario), but we extend to England, the Netherlands and Australia. I was told of two Lotens in New York, but I am unaware of their connection to us Canadian Lotens. Do you know of any more information, however obscure, on Charles Loten Dean's in-laws? Our email is rhloten@aol.ca. Hope to hear from you. Congratulations on a wonderful site.
Enjoyed reading through your pages. Lots of good information. Will be checking back. Looking for Moses and Hannah Dean siblings and children. Good luck! Marilyn Kamann MCKamann@FX2.Com
Enjoyed your flowers and your Dean site. Looking for information on SARAH DEAN born abt. 1796 in NC. Listed in the 1850 Census of Jackson County, AL. Head of house with 4 children, Rebecca, (married Lemuel Graves) age 23, Thomas, age 17, Martha, age 16, Nancy, age 10. All born in NC. She probably had older children which had already left home. ANY information appreciated. Robert at boblouise@yahoo.com
Great job! Anita, I saw your posting on the Apple Surname Message Board regarding Apples around the Guilford Co. area. I believe I have a connection. Where can I see the information from your mother's cousin, Bill Apple? I am very interested. My e-mail address is wilsonmarvingaylea@worldnet.att.net. My great-grandfather was Adam Franklin Apple, his father was Jackson Apple and his father was Adam Apple born around 1800 in NC. He moved to TN and then to ILL. Thanks, so much! Gay Lea Wilson
What a pleasant surprise!! Although, I've been interested in doing some research in this area, have not had the opportunity until today. This site is a delight. I am a Dean with very little info, but, have a stong desire to become acqainted with my ancestory. My mother has little info about my father David L. Dean, of Raleigh N.C., who was suposedly orphanged until a young adult (1940's I'm guessing). He did have sisters, and a neice that served as sheriff in Raleigh some 30 years ago. If any of this sounds famaliar, please contact me. redheadbyrum@juno.com I love your page, and obviously it has been added to my favorites. Beautiful work, you are to be applauded! Thank you for sharing your giving spirits!! Delores
You really have a great web page. Anyone out there familiar with John Dean b.1784 @ sea. Jarret Dean and James Dean b.1787/90 Wilkes, NC? bdean30958@aol.com

If you have any information of the Gardners, contact me at keith_gardner@hotmail.com (don't forget to use the underscore)! My compliments to a great web page!

Anita: Your website is absolutely fabulous. I am a Dean but (so far) not a relative of yours. I'm descended from Bartholomew Dean of County Mayo, Ireland (early 1800s). Your site is beautiful, easy to navigate and has given me some wonderful new clues on places to search for my Irish roots. Thank you, also, for the cemetery photos. My husband is a gggggggrandson of Gayer Starbuck and Rachel Folger. I never would have thought to find their graves on a Dean site!
You've done a fabulous job - keep up the good work!

Hi how are you? My name is Timothy Dean from Holly Springs NC. I am trying to research my Dean lineage and am having some trouble. My great great great grandfather was Issac Dean born Conn. 1813 died NY 1905. His son was Mortimer Dean born NY 1833 died Mich 1912. I have good records of Mortimer but am going on records and the memory of my grandfather as to Issac. I was curious if you had bumped into either in your searches and if not where could I go to get the information on Issac. I am ultimately interested in what country my Dean lineage comes from. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks and Great Web Page.
