Halibut fishing charters
Port of call is only 40 miles away from Anchorage, in Whittier,
Alaska. (see below)
- A trip aboard our 45' charter vessel will provide you with the
chance to try your hand at World Class halibut, snapper, lingcod, rockfish and salmon. The
fishing is fantastic and so are the majestic vistas of Prince William Sound.

Special Note: Be sure
to leave Anchorage early enough!!

- Departure Time
Morning - Clients MUST be in Bear Valley -
the staging area for the tunnel for the 7:30-7:45am guaranteed opening to Whittier.
After you go through the tunnel - come to the Harbor Masters Office - Big Blue Building at
the Harbor - unload - then park in the parking area across the railroad tracks.
We return for the Guaranteed 8:00pm Tunnel opening, and occasionally the 9:00pm Guaranteed
opening depending on the fishing.
Directions from Anchorage
Head south on the Seward Highway. Be on
the look-out for sheep, and if you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of breaching Beluga
whales. Continue past Girdwood until you reach the Alaska
Railroad train station before Portage. You will continue on for just under one mile.
Turn left at the portage cut off. After you have traveled 5 miles from the Seward Highway,
you will see the turn off to the Begich, Boggs Visitor Center on the right. This road will
also take you to Portage Glacier Lodge, Portage Lake dock, and Byron Glacier. Continue
ahead on Portage Glacier Highway to reach Whittier. You should expect to see some of
Alaska's most spectacular views on the ride. Bears are frequently sighted, so have
your camera ready!! For further information on the tunnel please visit.
